Description
The frozen Hudson Bay is the primary home for many of Canada’s polar bears. This shot was taken from shore looking northwest over the bay. The close ice is shore-fast ice, jagged, and challenging to navigate. Past the shore-fast it opens into the ice-floes where polar bears travel, hunt, feed, and breed.
