The 110km inlet is the longest on Canada’s west coast and carves its way from its entrance near Vancouver Island and the Broughton Archipelago and west into the Coast Mountains. The furthur up the inlet you travel, the higher the flanking mountaintops become, eventually terminating near a 4000m tall peak.
