Why buy a Limited Edition?

In our fast-paced online world where wildlife and nature photography can be observed in a moments notice, the time, effort, focus, patience, and luck that goes into capturing an image is often forgotten. Social media platforms demand a near-impossible high-pace of high-quality images to be produced and published to be viewed on the tiniest of screens. Most wildlife and nature images shared and viewed today will be seen on handheld devices in relatively low resolution. This medium does not allow for full appreciation of an image.

Perhaps it was the days, weeks, months, or years it took for a photographer to capture a certain moment. Or the lifetime achievement of honing a skill-set that enables the photographer to capture intimate moments of nature in great detail. Photographers capture moments in time that will never happen again. Truly unique. In my opinion, photography deserves more attention, more space, and more tangibility in our world. Thus, I am committing to a series of limited edition fine art wildlife and nature prints from my work as a professional photographer around the world.

My Limited Edition collection are moments in time that deserve to be viewed on a grand scale, and will not be printed or reproduced in a smaller format. Once the limited edition run is sold, the image will no longer be available for purchase.

Each limited edition is signed by Eddy Savage and delivered with certificate of authenticity confirming the photograph details including Image Title, Edition Number, and Photographers Summary. Prices are in Canadian Dollars and do not include taxes and shipping. Contact me at eddy@wildernessgallery.ca to purchase.

“Fragmented Blue”

Limited Edition 1 of 25

Glaciers around the world are becoming symbols of a rapidly changing world. This Icelandic glacial tongue spills into a deep lagoon at its base. Calving occurs regularly and the old and highly compacted blue ice reveals itself. You need to capture this within minutes of a fresh calving, otherwise the outer-layer turns to a snow crust with exposure to sunlight.

Preferred Crop: 3:1 or 6ft x 2ft
